When was the last time you stopped to ‘smell the roses’?

When was the last time you stopped to ‘smell the roses’?
Can you remember? What does that mean to you?

Do you tend to look at the positives in life? Or the negatives? Can you even remember what and how you look?
Has it all become such a habit that you have absolutely no idea, no reference?

Then maybe it’s time to just sit with your thoughts. Figuratively speaking, as in watching, observing them as you go about your day.
Or actually sitting with them.

Find a quiet spot to sit alone, perhaps have a notepad and pen with you.
Create 2 columns. “Positive” and “negative”. Get curious.

Ask yourself
“what are my thoughts about my job?
My partner?
My family?
My home?
The people I meet each day?
The state of the world in general?

Start to notice what comes up for you. No need to share this with anyone if you don’t want to. Let’s just keep this private, really open and honest.

Keep asking and keep writing these thoughts in 1 of these 2 columns. “Positive” and “negative”.

When you’ve written down everything you can think of, for each statement in the “negative” column, can you turn it around?
Can you see if you can find 1 positive in the situation. Something that feels good?
There must be something somewhere or you wouldn’t have ever allowed them in your life to start with, subconsciously or otherwise.

Can you see what that is?

Is it time maybe to consider another way of thinking? Of seeing? Of speaking?

What we say out loud can be very powerful and can really affect our emotions, our sense of self, very strongly. Watch this especially.

Maybe play with this today.
Watch your thoughts or what you say when you remember.

Perhaps start with when you are about to leave the house. About to go into a building. About to speak with someone.
What are you bringing with you? What thoughts, judgements, ideas are you starting that situation with?

Can you play with the opposite?
Perhaps an absolutely tiny change at first but then, given time, practice and self-kindness, can this new idea become more prolific in your day?
In your life?

Do you remember a time when you did just feel joy, laughter, happiness?

What we think, what we say, on a day to day basis will determine just how likely those times are to occur again. How often. How possible.

What are you telling your subconscious that you want?

What are you telling your subconscious that you see?

What are you telling your subconscious about your life?

Do you even want this to be different?

Is this 1 thought serving you?
What is this thought, this method of thinking, this habit bringing you?
How do you feel when you think, talk, feel like that? How do you feel when you think, talk, feel the opposite? That original reason why you allowed, why you created this situation or person in your life?

Could you change this if you wanted to?
Do you want to?

How do you want to feel?
Can you remember?
Can you try to?

Is it possible to play with this today in your life, your experience, your perception?
Maybe you could try?
