Can you be in this moment?
Can you accept what you see in front of you and, more importantly, what you are feeling right now?
Can you allow the quietness to come up…and then, after a time, the quiet voices that come too?
Those voices that can guide you in your day, your lifetime if you’ll let them.
Those voices that, when you were a child, gave you inspiration for imaginary games to play, ideas for exploring, and spontaneous laughter.
Those voices are still with you, still reachable. But you need to find, no to allow, the quietness to arise first.
Can you find a space in your day today, a place where you can pause and reflect?
A place to listen to that initially-very-busy trail of thoughts, worries and ideas?
This could be at the familiar traffic lights you pass every day, a moment to look down at the ground whilst others are distracted around you, even sitting on the toilet or brushing your hair in the mirror.
Yes, the mirror is a very good place to start loving yourself – more on that later.
But for now, for today, give yourself the blessing of a few minutes of quiet, a space to be, feel and, with time, to love what is there already.
